Celebrating Life and The Power Of Intention

Sometimes people connect in unexpected ways.

Take JP Forest and Michael Coss, two men who have experienced brain injury in very different ways. They met as housemates at CONNECT Langley and subsequently became friends. They have combined their respective talents and have come up with some pretty amazing ideas.

JP recently came into the Langley office with a DVD he had prepared for us. The following is an excerpt from a letter he wrote sharing a dream that the two men intend to make come true.

“Here’s a DVD I made of my good friend and former roommate, Michael Coss. Michael also suffered a traumatic brain injury and now does “Sit-Down” comedy, as he is still in a wheelchair (http://jpforestskydiver.blogspot.com/2011/10/great-night-out-michael-coss-comeday.html). Soon he will do Stand-Up Comedy as he just completed a 1 Km walk for the Terry Fox Run. Michael has created the “Michael Coss Brain Injury Foundation” that provides survivors of brain injuries help and support through a unique approach of Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy (http://www.secondchancestepbystep.org/). I am in the process of planning a skydiving fundraiser, “Jump for the Cause”, in Pitt Meadows with the Drop Zone (DZ). All the profits of that day will be donated to the Michael Coss Brain Injury Foundation. It should be a great day. Michael wants to do a tandem jump on that day and I will video and photograph it in free-fall and it will most likely air on TV. I’ll keep my Blog (http://jpforestskydiver.blogspot.com) posted with the time and date as it gets closer. Hope you guys can make it to this fundraiser. It’s a great cause.”

Here’s a toast to JP and Michael- living large with the power of intention!
