Gonzalo is on the Move with the Life Redesign Model

Gonzalo Silva is carrying the Life Redesign torch up Vancouver Island as he steps into his new role as Service Access and Transitions Leader for CONNECT Parksville.

Originally from Chile, Gonzalo moved to Canada in 2021 to pursue a Master’s Degree in Global Management at Royal Roads University.

Since joining CONNECT Saanich Peninsula as a Life Redesign Coach in 2025, Gonzalo has made a lasting impression through his dedication, leadership and genuine commitment to the CONNECT culture and values.

Becoming a trusted and dependable member of the team, he quickly advanced into the role of Service Resource Coach — a reflection of both his hard work, natural ability to support others and alignment with the CONNECT values.

Sarah Bragg, Leader of People, Culture and Services at CONNECT Saanich Peninsula, says Gonzalo’s impact on the team has been remarkable.

“Gonzalo is one of the most trustworthy, kind, helpful and wise people I’ve had the pleasure of working with,” says Sarah. “While we’ll miss him greatly on the Peninsula, we’re excited to see him spread his wings in Parksville.”

When two leadership opportunities opened for CONNECT Parksville, Gonzalo knew it was the right next step for both his career and his family.

For Gonzalo, the Life Redesign Model is more than a philosophy — it’s something he has seen transform lives firsthand.

“I’ve seen the model in action,” he says. “It’s not just theory to me. I’ve witnessed the impact it has on people’s lives, and that’s incredibly meaningful.”

Outside of work, Gonzalo enjoys spending time with his wife and two young daughters. Whether they’re exploring lakes, travelling, barbecuing or cooking together, family remains at the centre of his life. He also has a passion for theatre, though these days family life keeps him busy.

As he prepares for this exciting new chapter, Gonzalo admits leaving the CONNECT Saanich Peninsula community won’t be easy. Still, he’s energized by the opportunity ahead.

“I’m really looking forward to helping shape and strengthen the model,” he says. “I’m excited to bring my own ideas, experience and perspective to how we continue talking about and delivering Life Redesign.”
